Dorothy West
Executive Director
Dorothy West is in long-term recovery, with more than 22 years of continuous sobriety. She is the Executive Director of the Center for Recovery and Wellness Resources (CRWR). Dorothy joined CRWR in 2012 as Program Director and Recovery Coach Trainer and became Executive Director in 2022 after the passing of her husband and CRWR founder, Dillon West. She is committed to expanding recovery support services, empowering individuals and families, and advancing CRWR’s mission of hope, healing, and lasting recovery.
Kelly Olvera
Executive Assistant
Kelly Wilson Olvera has been a dedicated member of the Center for Recovery and Wellness Resources (CRWR) team since 2016 after beginning her own recovery journey through CRWR's recovery housing program. Today, she serves as the Executive Assistant to the Executive Director, providing administrative leadership and supporting the daily operations that help advance CRWR's mission. Once a recipient of CRWR's services, she is passionate about giving back to the organization that helped change her life and is committed to supporting individuals and families on their path to recovery.
Kashima Walker
RSS Supervisor
An LCDC-Intern with a Degree in Addiction Counseling, a Substance Use Prevention Certificate, PSS,RSPS, and CHW. Kashima is dedicated to supporting individuals in recovery from substance use and mental health challenges through advocacy, recovery support, case management, and collaboration with courts and community partners. Her passion lies in helping people build stability, achieve their goals, and maintain long-term recovery.
Christella McCall
Accountant
A dedicated and a detail-oriented accountant, Christella plays a pivotal role in managing financials and strategic financial planning at CRWR. With a Bachelor’s in Accounting from TSU, Christella helps support the organization through her experience. When not at work Christella is with her husband and two children.
Obadiah Pendleton
Outreach Supervisor
Obadiah Pendleton has been a dedicated member of the Center for Recovery and Wellness Resources (CRWR) team since 2019. As a father of three and proud grandfather, he brings compassion, wisdom, and valuable lived experience to his work every day. Obadiah is known for his engaging personality, humorous training style, and commitment to serving the community through weekly outreach efforts. Obadiah is especially dedicated to supporting at-risk youth by encouraging personal development, resilience, and positive growth
Jerimya Buchannan
Human Resources
A University of Houston student, Jerimya is proud of the contributions she is able to make in the Houston community through her work in human resources and recovery support services at CRWR as well as a transitional age youth recovery support specialist.

Herbert Steptoe, Board Member
Herbert Steptop is a dedicated board member of the Center for Recovery and Wellness Resources, bringing extensive experience from the Winners Circle Peer Support Network. With a strong focus on Peer-to-Peer Recovery Support Services, Herbert has significantly contributed to creating supportive environments for individuals overcoming substance use disorders and reintegrating into society after criminal justice involvement. His work emphasizes the importance of peer-led initiatives, mentoring, and fostering community, crucial components of personal growth and long-term recovery for the recovery community we serve.
